The cow in Patrick O'Shanahan's kitchen is there for a reason- to teach children about where their food comes from in a sweet, entertaining and simple manner. The style of writing and the wonderful illustrations make me think of classics such as Guess How Much I Love You? and the Velveteen Rabbit....
