At the College of New Jersey, research was done on the influence of Disney films and the impact they had on children’s perspectives of death. This article goes through the 10 different films that they used in their research and their focuses in the category of death. Looking more specifically at how death is portrayed through, “character status; depiction of death; death status; emotional reaction; and causality.” Possible reasons for why death in children’s movies may be a positive aspect are analyzed too. This will be useful in our research because we are looking at aspects of death specifically in children’s movies.
