This book contains a foreword on fish poisoning; an introduction; the parts of a fish; identification of fish; and the commercial fish fauna. The latter section covers nine fish families; I. Ambassidae (glassy perchlets); II. Serranidae (groupers, coral-trouts, coral-cods, sea-perches); III. Lobotidae (tripletails); IV. Theraponidae (tigerfishes); V. Priacanthidae (big-eyes); VI. Lactaridae (whitefish); VII. Carangidae (crevalles, scads, amberjacks, talangs, threadfishes, pampanos, pilotfishes); VIII. Rachycentridae (cobia); and Menidae (moonfish). Color and black-and-white illustrations. Also included are photographs and descriptions of the major types of fishing boats used in Hong Kong waters. Chinese characters and Cantonese pronunciations are provided.
