Lyrical Prose-- a lovely read-aloud

This is a gentle adventure with wistful magic, plucky orphans, horrible villains, and happy endings for those who deserve them.

The prose in this book is excellent. The turn of phrase is delightful to read and pleasant to listen to.

Despite being a bit on the long side the story moves...
