Abstract:

Used in conjunction with the textbook, “IPSRM: Introduction to Political Science Research Methods” (Franco, 2020), this workbook provides a tour of the Stata software, a general-purpose statistical software package, utilized by researchers in many fields. The author provides an introduction to cross-sectional, time series, and panel datasets, and an introduction to a variety of models, reviewing model-types where the outcome is linear, binary, ordinal, categorical, and count. Additionally, this workbook provides instructions and a rubric, so students can practice their interpretation skills.
