Abstract:

'Trends in Biotechnology' is a peer reviewed journal that aims to keep its readers up-to-date and well informed about all areas of biotechnology, from molecular genetics to biochemical engineering. The journal is aimed at all biotechnologists who take an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to the applied biosciences, especially industrial and academic research scientists. The journal's principal content is reviews, but it also publishes Opinion articles, which encourage debate and hypothesis on a particular subject, and short Research Focus articles, which highlight topical issues or important recent research papers. Tables of contents and abstracts are available freely, with full-text articles available (from 1983, vol.1, issue 1) by per-article fee, personal subscription or to licensed institutions. Published monthly by Cell Press, Elsevier Ltd, and made available on the Web by ScienceDirect.
